Bonfils Blood Center is proud to announce, in collaboration with AEG Live, Give LIVE, presented by First Bank, a concert featuring Grammy-nominated DeVotchKa and benefiting Bonfils’ lifesaving mission. Give LIVE will debut Thursday, Feb. 14 at the Paramount Theatre in Denver and coincides with DeVotchKa’s annual Valentine’s Day performance as well as National Donor Day – a day to raise awareness about the importance of blood, marrow, organ and tissue donation.

DeVotchKa, widely known for composing the score to the film Little Miss Sunshine, released their seventh album Live with the Colorado Symphony in November. They have played numerous marquee music festivals across the U.S. and their music has been featured in television commercials for Volkswagen and Gerber. DeVotchKa is proud to support such a beloved Colorado nonprofit, which in its 70-year history has saved and enhanced the lives of more than 9 million patients in need.

“Throughout the Colorado community, Bonfils is most known for collecting blood donations from our generous blood donors,” explained Jessica Maitland, vice president of marketing and community operations. “This new benefit concert will give us the platform to share another important way our community can help us save and enhance lives – through financial contributions.”

Bonfils raises funds year round for projects and initiatives like specialized testing to identify blood donors with unique blood properties; research to advance blood transfusion medicine; laboratory equipment to help improve efficiencies; and much more. Proceeds from Give LIVE will help us fund projects and initiatives like these in 2013.
