“If I could find a way” to tell you how awesome Young The Giant are live, I would. However, it takes a lot more than seeing a band once, especially one that has come so far in less than a year, to really describe what an amazing show they put on. You’ve heard the radio hits such as “Cough Syrup,” but it is something else to see this five piece live…

With the opening of “I Got,” they brought the audience into a very upbeat mood, but then slowed everything down, almost immediately, in order to build their entire set to a climactic end of their breakthrough hit “My Body.”

The boys of YTG have played Denver before, most memorably at the Westword Music Showcase last June. But, before that, they were playing smaller shows at Denver staples like Larimer Lounge. Shortly after passing through Denver in the  summer of 2011, the quintet opened for Incubus at the Hard Rock  in Las Vegas in October, furthering their contagious sound to even bigger audiences. When tickets for their February 18 show at the Ogden went on sale, they sold out in less than three weeks. There are many great things that will come from this band, and based on their recent popularity in the Mile High City, it probably won’t be long before they grace us with their presence once again.
