American Federation of Musicians

The AFM has existed for over a hundred years by representing and serving musicians performing all types of music in all types of venues. The vast majority of our current members do not enjoy the benefits provided by a Local or Federation negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Typically, they provide “freelance” musical services to multiple engagers/employers annually. In fact, each performing engagement may involve a different engager/employer.
