On the evenings of January 18 through the 20, the Ogden Theater will be transformed into a microcosm of folk, bluegrass, and Americana, the likes of which it hasn’t seen in many a blue moon. Railroad Earth is kicking off their winter tour with three nights in a row in our fair city. Although the band originated in New Jersey over a decade ago, Colorado was an important part of their early success in the form of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, who booked them immediately after hearing a demo.

Railroad Earth was introduced to the festival scene early on, and it was a perfect fit. While capable of putting on a fantastic show in any venue, Railroad Earth is absolutely cataclysmic in a festival atmosphere. The band flourished with each performance, and now they have evolved into an entity that can only be understood through direct experience. Any fan of exquisite music would be wise not to miss out on this group of unbelievably talented performers’ return to Colorado.
