It’s August! Not only does that mean we are cruising right along with this hectic summer, it also means that Higher Ground Music Festival is upon us in a few short weeks. Make sure you head to highergroundmusicfestival.com and get your tickets along with a camping pass before they are all gone! MileHighUndergound’s Program Director, Finn, will be the emcee for the weekend, and Music Buzz LIVE Radio will be broadcasting live on-site on Saturday the 25^th.

The featured show of the month is Denver Metal Madness. Airing Thursdays from 5-10pm, DMM is Colorado’s home for all the best local metal and rock music. Hosted by DJs J.P. and D James, the show features a huge library of the top Colorado metal acts, as well as independent national artists that are making an impact on the Denver scene. Denver Metal Madness has acquired a strong listenership of musicians and fans alike, being the only true on-air representation of the Mile High City’s booming hard-rock lifestyle. Horns high!

MHU will be teaming up with Best 303 Sounds and Gutter Rat Productions for the White Flag Raised EP Release at the Roxy Theatre. The show takes place August 18, doors at 6 pm with the show starting at 7. All ages welcome.

One of our biggest sponsors, Strainwise, is the title sponsor of Higher Ground, and in addition to offering the best deals on the best medicinal products in Denver, we will be putting on a show at The Sanctuary, 5110 Race Street in Denver, in early to mid August, featuring a couple Higher Ground bands to get the mood set for the best weekend of the summer.

Higher Ground is looking for volunteers for the festival, if you are interested, head to highergroundmusicfestival.com and fill out the volunteer form—lots of perks for those who volunteer! The festival is taking place August 24-26just outside of Central City and features 40 of Colorado’s premier acts on two stages. Camping packages are available, as well as hotel packages in Central City. All tickets and camping, including VIP packages, can be purchased on the website, be sure to see the center spread in this issue of CMB for more details.
