| March 13, 2013 | 0 Comments

Featuring members of Great American Taxi, YAMN, The Congress. Fox Street Allstars, Kinetix, The Whales, Robbie Peoples and many more of the best young bands in Denver, SoulFax Sessions kicked off in January and the event is steadily building steam.

For the last two months,  SoulFax Sessions  has brought together a staggering group of talented musicians from some of the best up-and-coming bands Denver’s vibrant music scene has to offer. Each Thursday night features a diverse line-up of players culled from a roster over over 30 local musicians who currently are involved in the project. The Park House has been bumping every week as these great musical minds bring live music and dancing to a part of Denver that has been craving a scene just like this for years. All these musicians approach the night with Funk and Soul on the brain as they aim to get people’s feet moving on the dance floor.

The video features Robbie Peoples crushing his original tune “Said He Gone” backed by Jonathan Meadows (The Congress), Scott Lane (The Congress), Chris Sheldon (Great American Taxi), and James Dumm (Fox Street Allstars).
SoulFax Sessions have already featured members of: Great American Taxi, Leftover Salmon, Derek Trucks Band, Rob Drabkin, The Congress, Fox Street All-Stars, YAMN, Kinetix, Digital Tape Machine, Jaden Carlson Band, Robbie Peoples, Rob Drabkin, ATOMGA and The Whales, with appearances and sit-ins by many others. The best part is that these line-ups allow members of different bands to play together, encouraging collaboration among the community of amazing musicians we have here in Denver.
This week’s SoulFax Session will feature: Bill McKay (formerly of Leftover Salmon & Derek Trucks Band), Jonah Wisneski (The Whales), Dewey Duart (YAMN), and Chris Carland (Bill McKay Band)

SoulFax Sessions are always FREE and will feature weekly drink specials and giveaways.
