While Mother Nature didn’t get the memo that The Summer of Gods Tour 2019 was an outside event, the show did go on. RaRa Riot started off the rainy evening at Denver’s Levitt Pavillion, followed by co-headliners Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind. Jimmy Eat World started the set with “Pain,” and followed up with hits including “Sure and Certain,” “Praise,” and “Bleed American.” Front man Jim Adkins motivated the rain-drenched crowd by acknowledging that “We’ve played in rain before, but, you guys are as hardcore as they come.”  The sky cleared just in time for the crowd to sing it back to “Sweetness,” and the boys ended their set with fan favorite “The Middle.” Never theatrical, and consistently good. Focus on the music, and the fans will continue to follow.
