Those that know Circa Survive know that their first three albums were all fantastic. They know that the group is very experimental and daring, and that Anthony Green is a very emotional lyricist and singer. With these expectations in mind, fans will be extremely happy with Circa’s latest release, Violent Waves.

In the album, guitarists Colin Frangicetto and Brendan Ekstrom prove that they have reached absolute mastery with guitar tones and textures. They have an astounding arsenal of sounds at their hip, as they are able to create the softest, dirtiest, and most inspiring tones imaginable. Their ability to manufacture moods in their songs is something every guitarist should envy.

Aside from the great guitar work, Green sings harder than ever, and there are some very epic and spacy interludes much like the ones heard on the previous release, Blue Sky Noise.
