Every year Sub.mission Dubstep throws a huge multiple-day event centered around dubstep, drum and bass, and other bass music, and it’s called, not surprisingly, Bass Invasion! Headlining DJs and producers from around the globe make an appearance in Denver (many for the first time), and each year it has grown bigger and better. Bass Invasion has featured huge names in the past, with heavy-hitters like Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, Caspa, Plastician, Pinch, DBridge, Distance, Tunnidge, Matty G, DJG, Downlink, Kingdom, RUN DMT and many more playing to the renowned Denver EDM crowd. With prior events bringing such big names, it would seem impossible to up the ante; however, this year Sub.mission has done just that, putting together a line-up for the ages with some of the most prominent artists in the game all coming together for one weekend in Denver.

Sub.mission has always had the same mission; to push a new rising sound and do it proper, with yes, you guessed it… SUB BASS! This fourth year, the crew aims to accomplish the mission with a dual-venue, dual-day event in downtown Denver hosting some of the scene’s top-tier headliners and Colorado’s favorite dubstep locals. All the different flavors of bass music will be represented from garage, dubstep, electro, UK funky house, juke and the ever-so-popular trap style. Not to mention everything in between, providing a well-rounded event with something for every bass lover! The festivities will start Friday August 10 and will go into the wee morning hours of Sunday August 12 at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. The venue will open early on Saturday and will showcase various vendors, food, beer, clothing and art in a vendor fair and production clinic before the party begins!

Here are a few names that are making their first Colorado appearance at Bass Invasion, along with some information about them so you can get involved:

Om Unit – Hailing from London, this producer is hard to pigeonhole into any certain style. He pushes the boundaries and shows us something new almost every, single time.

Sinjin Hawke – Chances are that if you’ve been out to a bass music event in the last three months, you’ve heard this guy’s beats. It is hard to deny the floor dropping fun this DJ and producer delivers.

RL Grime – New to the scene and quickly rising, RL Grime is bringing back trap music with a new twist and flavor. Connecting the dots of southern hip-hop and the bass-filled electronic music, this guy will be lighting that sound system on fire.

Other headlining artists on the lineup include: Shiftee, DBridge, Truth, Supreme, and Trolley Snatcha. To learn more about the event, artists and to purchase tickets or to inquire about vending or painting in the vendor fair, visit submissiondubstep.com and get involved in the movement!
