A lot is happening at First of all, the submissions we got this past month were awesome, we have debuted more songs this month than any previous month to date, and without your help that wouldn’t be possible. The local music community in Denver is truly amazing and we thank everyone who makes it possible for us to do what we do. If your band has an upcoming cd release, tour kickoff, single, or any other big news, be sure to let us know so we can help you promote and be a part of it. Our street team works hard to keep up on current happenings so that we can make announcements on the air, so keep us in the loop.

Our featured show this month is 303 Pirate Radio. Hosted by Wargod on Wednesdays from 5-9 pm, the show features a tattoed blonde host that drills bands with intimate questions and features music from the best local metal, rock and pop acts. National names have been known to pop in from time to time, so be sure to tune in to see who her next victim is.

Here is some of the stuff we’ve got on our upcoming calendar:

5280 Flair is taking place at Lodo’s June 18-19, and we will be there live streaming the event. Bartenders from all over the world will be showcasing their mad skills for a panel of judges to win some awesome prizes. We have also teamed up with Evergroove Studios in Evergreen and will be doing a live broadcast of bands performing there on a bi-monthly basis.

We will be hosting a lot of great in studio interviews and performances this month, including Talisker Skye on Music Buzz LIVE Radio June 23.

Our friends in Red Stinger are heading out on a national tour with MHU as one of their main sponsors. Not only is this good for the band, it is putting our station’s name in front of audiences in each town that they hit. Lola Black is also hitting the road this month, and will be checking in with us throughout their two week tour.

As always, our station is taking submissions from local, unsigned artists. If you think your stuff is good, and you want to hear it on the air, submit it along with your band info at Not everything submitted gets into regular rotation, but we do our best to play what lands on our desk.

Denver’s punk legends Reno Divorce will be coming in studio to spin some old school vinyl for us this month. Stay tuned to the website and facebook for the date.

We will be up at CMB’s Higher Ground Music Festival in August, safely tucked away in the VIP area doing interviews with the artists and fans and running commentary on all the crazy stuff that goes down.

We provide excellent opportunities for up and coming broadcasters to host shows on weekends and mornings. If you are internship opportunity, email Brett Finn at If you are a broadcast journalism student, we can help you obtain the on-air experience you need for your degree. All we ask is that you are passionate about music and radio!
